Year of the Covid-19 health crisis during which we contributed both clinically and scientifically through a vast epidemiological study. We also inaugurated a new cardiac interventional operating room equipped for advanced cardiac imaging (GIBOR) allowing new electrophysiology procedures. We also saw the creation of the stationary cardiovascular rehabilitation clinical unit at Beau-Sejour hospital.

The highlight international event of 2019, was the annual congress of the European Society of Cardiology chaired by Professor Marco Roffi. The latest European lipid treatment recommendations (Lipid guidelines ESC 2019) have been updated following a Geneva study conducted by Prof. François Mach and his team.

We inaugurated the coronary care unit (Juillard-53). Research activities continued to progress as evidenced by the significant increase of scientific publications in international journals.
